DPS of Abu Dhabi is an international English medium, co- educational, and comprehensive private school   founded in 1^st September 1983 by Mr. Sultan Al Hameli in the capital of U.A.E. and licensed by the Ministry of Education and Youths (MoEY),license number 124 to provide educational services for students from over 30 countries worldwide.

At DPS, we are committed to the growth and development of all students within the context of our extended and broad curriculum. The school started to function as a pre-K to grade 6, and with time extra grades were added

In 01/ 09 /1995, the school was relocated to a new premises in Abu Dhabi, corniche area, where the new buildings are characterized by their quiet location, properly ventilated rooms, well equipped modern laboratories, extensive spaces, and well designed playgrounds.

• Kindergarten and primary children have their own buildings surrounded by landscaping and greenery and equipped with state with of the art educational aids that enhance the children's perception and correlation abilities.
• The school caters 2 programs: the British and the American  both end with a High School Diploma.
•  DPS is a test center for University of Cambridge International Examination Board (I.G.C.S.E) currently a two - year - course for Grades 9 &10 and  AS & A level for grades 11 & 12.

Our Mission Statement is aimed at demonstrating our commitment to facilitating the development of each student to develop his or her full potential and be a good member of his/her society in UAE or abroad. The school also prepares students to live in larger multi-cultural atmosphere as is in the school.
